The skillful handling of materials and shapes by Summerhaus D’zign transformed this Lincoln Suites duplex into a warm and sophisticated home.
With captivating city views, double-height windows, and a generous 3,035 square foot footprint, the bones of this four-bedroom duplex apartment at Lincoln Suites were already impressive to begin with.
Customers had asked for a light and airy home that exudes understated elegance. When they approached Summerhaus D’zign to redesign the house, they wanted to clad a six-meter-high wall in the double-volume living room with marble and use light tones for the color scheme. But after making several visits to the house, the designers felt that a lack of color wasn’t the best idea, especially with the sunlight streaming in through the floor-to-ceiling windows and reflecting off the walls. white.
The project was led by interior designer Jacelyn Chieng, who worked with co-founders Larry Lim and Jess Koh to complete the home renovation. The team’s solution demonstrated clear vision and inventive problem-solving, while adding a layer of sophistication that made this home feel like a luxury hotel.

âAfter further discussion, the color scheme was changed to gray with brown accents, complemented by warm lighting and copper tones, to subtly bring a warm feeling,â says Lim.
A pair of white marble slabs on the first floor and mezzanine have been matched to visually connect the two levels. For added continuity, copper trim has been applied to the walls as well as the base of the kitchen island, which also features a dark wood top that echoes the materials used for the living room and hall consoles. to eat.
Living room furniture includes a pebble-shaped coffee table, round sofa and armchair, as well as dining chairs with curved backs that temper the angular lines of the unit. Curved walls and bespoke furniture create a similar effect.

Upon entry, the team created a luxurious first impression using marble, dark wood, brass, and a full-length mirror with a bronze finish. Here, the bench at the bay window is another thoughtful gesture.
Placed next to the shoe racks so owners and guests can easily put their shoes on, the marble seat also offers panoramic views of the city.

The use and aesthetics of floor-to-ceiling windows in the junior master and master bedrooms have also been improved in the same way. Using custom-made joinery, they are transformed into relaxation areas for reading or having tea. A table that slides from end to end adds flexibility to the floor-to-ceiling windows in both bedrooms.
Completed quickly in three months, owners and designers are thrilled with the home’s renovation. âWorking with the lovely owners definitely made the process enjoyable,â says Lim. âWe relished the opportunity to mix and match different textures and materials so that the completed interior blends together harmoniously.
