Today Household items has finally launched its long-awaited e-commerce platform. This is a huge leap forward for the big box brick-and-mortar retailer with 820 stores in 47 states. A division of TJX Companies, Inc, HomeGoods is one of the nation’s leading low-cost home decor retailers.
âWe are excited to expand HomeGoods’ digital footprint so that customers can shop when they want,â said Mark DeOliveira, President of TJX Digital US. âHomeGoods.com will provide a complementary experience to our stores, allowing shoppers to combine in-store purchases with online finds to bring their vision to life. “
The website has a mix of products from various categories including bedding, bathroom, decorative pillows, seasonal decor, pets, storage / organization, and kitchen items. Just like the retail store, new products will be added regularly. Some of the items sold online will also be available in stores, while other products will be sold exclusively on the digital platform.
While the online experience has a similar ‘scavenger hunt’ feel to it in the store, larger furniture such as chairs are not currently available. However, this is only a first launch and HomeGoods plans to expand its online offerings over time.
âWe’re excited to offer our passionate buyers a second way to discover and buy an assortment they know and love,â said John Ricciuti, President of HomeGoods. “We hope our customers find the same enthusiasm in buying HomeGoods online as they do in exploring the aisles of our stores.”
In addition to lesser-known brands, the website features some of the biggest names in home decor, kitchenware and more, including Calphalon, Tommy Bahama, Yves Delorme, and Novogratz to name a few.
Better yet, shoppers have the option of returning their purchases online in-store as well as by mail.
One of the best features of HomeGoods.com is the Ideas shop. Those looking for additional inspiration or curated products will really appreciate this breakdown of categories including Global Discoveries, Fall Finds and Made in Europe. There is also an option to shop by room.
