The second floor of the Eugene M. and Christine E. Lynn Library has been transformed into a runway for “The Faces of Fashion Showcase.”
The College of Business and Management, in cooperation with the College of Communication and Design and Academic Affairs, partnered with Lynn University alumni and their employers to help organize the event.
“The Fashion Show was a fabulous hands-on learning experience for the students in the Fashion Show Production class,” said Lisa Benedict, Fashion and Retail Program Coordinator.
“From transforming the second floor of the library, to creating a lounge-like atmosphere on the second floor landing, not to mention working with nine different vendors, all of whom have a connection to the Fashion and Retail program,” said Benedict.
The invitation-only event featured more than 50 models and promoted brands including Brisea Swim, Lilly Pulitzer, Seagate Boutique, Tanya Taylor, Boston Proper, Raise the Bar Menswear, Venus and Boca Raton Bridal. The show offered attendees pop-up shops, food, drinks and a signature cocktail for the evening. The “Faces of Fashion Showcase” was a unique opportunity for models, designers and the public, and organized to showcase student-designed clothing and promote creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship.
“This experience allowed the students to coordinate, lead [and] fashionable ensembles,” Benedict said.
The showcase also included wedding dresses and a live DJ who set the tone.
