‘Outgrown”s newly remodeled home finds a buyer in a flash

A five-bedroom cottage in a hot market like Boise, ID, close to everything and was remodeled by the stars of the “Boise Boys”? You don’t see this often.

Listed at $579,900, the renovated residence received an offer that was accepted in about a week.

Although originally built in 1940, the 1,852 square foot charmer was recently renovated by Luke Caldwell and Clint Robertson on their new HGTV show, “Outgrown.”

As the title suggests, on “Outgrown,” the two renovation experts step in to help homeowners redo properties they bought a while ago but no longer meet their needs.

The current owners bought the place in 2014 when it was listed for $215,000. They fell in love with it mainly because of its exceptional location within walking distance of the city, the university and the river.

But two kids and a dog later, the family was packed. They enlisted the “Boise Boys” stars to create a new floor plan that would flow better.

Personalized collaboration

Caldwell and Robertson came in to open up the dining room, kitchen, and living room. They also refinished the hardwood floors, added wooden beams, and put in fresh paint.

For the custom-designed kitchen, the space now features quartz countertops, a full backsplash, stainless steel appliances and an island.

They also added antique glass doors to a built-in closet, making it a designer piece as well as a handy storage space.

But the real stir is the custom dog feeding station with room for food and water bowls, located at the bottom of the new window seat.

In addition to the recently renovated public spaces, there are three bedrooms on the ground floor and two on the main level, with a bathroom on each floor.

Any of the flexible spaces could be used as a multipurpose room, office, studio or yoga room.

Additionally, there is a spacious detached garage with an additional room for a workshop.

Caldwell and Robertson’s business is known as Timber and Love, and their team also refreshed the exterior of the house, adding a new paint color and planters. And a new porch and wooden door add character.

The house has been listed as move-in ready, and it looks like someone is going to do just that!
