Tarkett supplies floors for DoubleTree in Brussels • Hotel Designs

The DoubleTree by Hilton is an eight-story hotel, located minutes from the city’s top attractions. The hotel was built in 1910 and is an Art Deco landmark in Brussels, owned and managed by Pandox since 2003. Completely renovated and refurbished in 2021, the hotel has 353 rooms and suites. With bold and playful design details characterizing the renovation, Tarkett was an obvious choice to furnish most of the floors of this beautiful luxury hotel. The brand’s expertise in co-creating unique designs and custom sizes allowed the flooring for this renovation project to take center stage.

In public spaces, customers will be able to discover bespoke Art Deco-style herringbone parquet floors. The floor was constructed with luxurious vinyl tiles from the Tarkett iD Inspiration collection. The hallway and hallways have been fitted with custom Axminster carpeting, again using an Art Deco design.

In collaboration with Tarkett, the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel has contributed to the circular economy by making its used carpet available for recycling, with an impressive 20,690 kilograms equivalent to approximately 8,200 m2 of carpet recovered through this project. Vinyl tile offcuts were also returned to the factory and reused through the Tarkett ReStart program to ensure the flow of material never stops.
